MALTESE MONEY FOR MALTESE MISSIONARIES
Now that the Euro has been in place for quite some time, we are appealing to the Maltese and Gozitan population to send us any notes or coins in the Maltese denomination which are still in their possession. We will change these into Euros at the Central Bank and send to Maltese missionaries in Third World Countries. So a person can still do a charitable deed even with the last remaining Maltese lira or Maltese coins. Your donation can go a long way in helping to relieve the suffering in the World. Remember : 26, 000 children under the age of 5 die of hunger and lack of medication in the world, EVERY SINGLE DAY! [Unicef , State of the World`s children – Report 2008]
This new scheme, will complement our various other schemes in place such as our Loan Scheme, where people lend our organistion a sum of money (Minimum €500) interest free for as much as he/she wants eg a year, two years or more. We will in turn invest this money safely (Government stocks) and earn interest on it. Whenever a person wants his/her money back, this is returned within three working days. An official letter/document will be given to the benefactor when he/she passes such a loan to us as proof/receipt.
Another scheme is that of asking people to leave a sum of money in their will (after justly leaving an amount for family members). So even when you are no longer in this world you can also help to relieve the suffering in the world you left behind. These last years, thank God, we had a few of such wills leaving us substantial sums.
